日本の農林業の未来を担う人材を育成する、新たな学びの拠点が山形県新庄市に誕生しました。内装には地元の金山杉をふんだんに使用し、木の温もりあふれる学習環境を創出。さらに、東京オリンピック・パラリンピックの選手村から返還された「レガシー木材」を再利用し、サステナブルな社会への想いを繋いでいます。豊かな自然と調和したこの校舎から、世界の農林業をリードするプロフェッショナルが巣立っていきます。

A new center for learning has been established in Shinjo City, Yamagata, to cultivate the talent who will shape the future of Japan’s agriculture and forestry. The interior is rich with locally sourced Kanayama cedar, creating a warm and inviting learning environment. Furthermore, it incorporates “legacy timber” returned from the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Village, connecting to the ideals of a sustainable society. From this campus, which exists in harmony with its natural surroundings, the next generation of professionals will emerge to lead the agriculture and forestry sectors globally.

「絵のある図書館」をコンセプトに、本とアートが融合する地域の新たな文化拠点が誕生しました。館内に一歩足を踏み入れると、地元山形県産の木材をふんだんに使用した、放射状に広がる天井が圧巻の空間を演出します。まるで「本の森」にいるかのような温もりと開放感の中、知と感性が出会う場所を創出。地域の人々が集い、思い思いの時間を過ごせる、町の新たなシンボルです。

A new cultural hub for the community has been born under the concept of “a library with pictures,” where books and art merge. Stepping inside, you are greeted by a breathtaking space featuring a radiating ceiling, constructed lavishly with local Yamagata wood. We have created a place where knowledge and creativity meet, enveloped in the warmth and openness of a “forest of books.” This is a new town symbol where community members can gather and spend their time, each in their own way.

東松島市の復興にあたり、自然の中に開かれた木の学び舎がつくられた。木のぬくもりと光に包まれた空間が、子どもたちの学び合いや安心感を育み、五感で感じる教育環境を実現している。

As part of the recovery efforts in Higashimatsushima, a wooden school nestled in nature was created. The warmth of wood and natural light fosters both collaborative learning and a sense of security, offering an educational environment that engages all five senses.
